| Route Description: |
Route Type: Point to point The route is both hilly and scenic. The first 12 kilometres are relatively flat and easy. There is a long stretch between the 13- and 26- kilometre marker boards that presents some challenging hills. A fair amount of the race is run alongside the Kamala Game Reserve fence, where there are fantastic opportunities for game spotting. With some luck, elephant, lion, buffalo and kudu are all there for the viewing.

| Editor's Notes: |
Take care when driving to the venue - kudu often cross the roads and have caused numerous road accidents. For this reason, the organisers invite you to stay over on the Friday evening for a pasta party.
In 2009, the race celebrates its 31st running, which arguably makes it the oldest ultra marathon in the Eastern Cape. This event is an absolute must for old campaigners who want to experience something of a new challenge. The fields are small, true, but this means every runner gets that “special” attention.
In addition there is a 25-kilometre Run/Walk and a five-kilometre mountain fun run. Come and enjoy the Karoo hospitality!
Finishers: 400 Time Limit: 06:30 |
