Pre-entries are available up to a week before the race. Late entries are accepted at the start from 05h00. Grand Masters and blind runners enjoy free entry.

| Route Description: |
Route Type: Out and back
This is a moderate, undulating and scenic course. The first and last nine kilometres are run through the town, with the balance of the race out in the country on the Standerton-Leandra Road. The cosmos is in flower which adds a brilliant splash of colour to a landscape that is otherwise quite bland. There are three different turning points for the various distances.

| Prizes and Give-Aways: |
| Gold medals go to the first five finishers and to all category winners, silver to the next 100 finishers in each race, and bronze medals to all other finishers who make the cut-off. |

Walkers are welcome to enter the half marathon, 10- and five-kilometre events. The cut-off for the half marathon is 03:00. The race celebrates its 31st anniversary in 2009. Standerton is a short two-hour drive from Gauteng, and the race is well worth the effort getting there.
