Route Description:
Route Type: Circular
42.2km: The first 22km is moderate, flat and fast and will take you around the outskirts of the suburbs. The second half of the race will be hilly and at times extremely challenging. The route is very scenic and you will enjoy the countryside. The route goes through our lovely Boat Club area, running alongside the local dam. From here you will go over Fish Eagle Bay, the highest point of the race with the most spectacular views. Take your time and have a look around to enjoy the scenery. Be careful on the downward run of Fish Eagle Bay - Go Slow!! From here the road has moderate uphills and downhills with a 1,5km downhill run to the finish. This will provide you with a good training session for the 2010 Two Oceans and Comrades marathons. A demanding and challenging course. The 42,2km is also a Two Oceans and Comrades Qualifier and can be achieved in the time limit of 5 hours.

21km: The promise of this route is an unforgettable experience. The first half will take you through Bell View, beautiful bushveld, gravel roads and moderate hills. You will hit the tar road at approximately 6km with a steep uphill which will take you to Fish Eagle Bay. This is the highest point of the race with the most spectacular views, so you have to stop and look around for a few seconds. Be careful for the steep downhill - Go Slowly!! From here you will run alongside our beautiful local dam, with the most stunning views. When you get to the gate of the Boat Club you will turn right, coming back towards town. From Bos & Dal you will go downhill all the way towards the gate that will take you back to Bell View, running almost the same route back on gravel roads through our lovely bushveld. You will get your last uphill about 2km from the finish and from there it will be downhill all the way. A demanding course, but well worth it.

10km: Men and women may run this race but the Gold medals will go to the first 10 women. All finishers, men or women will receive silver medals. This route is an Out and Back with moderate ups and downs. A very scenic and enjoyable 10km. Come and enjoy our fresh air and beautiful countryside.
