Route Description:
Route Type: Circular
This is a relatively challenging course by marathon standards. The first eight kilometres of the race are easy. Be warned! Don't be lulled into a false sense of security. The next two kilometres entail a steady climb as you pass the 10-kilometre marker board. What follows is a hill that will test your endurance to the limit. Make no mistake, this is a tough climb.

Once over the hill, the race offers some short-lived respite before the halfway mark. Somewhere close to the 22-kilometre mark, yet another challenging hill looms, mercifully not quite as harsh as the first. You will encounter stretches of gravel road between four and 16-kilometres, and again for a kilometre around the 29-kilometre marker. The rest of the race is moderate, with a relatively easy finish.
