The route is relatively easy and well suited to novices running their first race. The first kilometre is a pleasant and easy run down Gleneagles Road. Turn right at the golf course for a long pull of about two kilometres. Take it easy and do not get discouraged; the hard work you put in here will be rewarded on the way back. There is a short, sharp hill around the four-kilometre mark and a slight bump just after the marker. Thereafter the running is moderately downhill to the eight-kilometre mark where there is a slight pull back up Gleneagles. This soon flattens out with a relatively easy and pleasant run to the end. Expect a large crowd cheering you on at the finish.
