2019 Comrades Marathon Country Breakdown

Athletes from 80 countries have entered the 2019 edition of The Ultimate Human Race. Entries for #Comrades2019 were fully subscribed within a week of the entry process opening with the lion’s share of international entries coming from the United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, India, USA, Brazil and Australia.

CMA Race Director, Rowyn James says, the response from the running community, both local and international, has been nothing short of amazing. We are delighted to be welcoming athletes from 80 countries.

James adds, the Entries Team is still busy capturing manual entries onto the system. So far, we are pleased to announce the number of entries from the various nations in next year’s race.

The 2019 Comrades Marathon is the 94th edition of the world’s most famous ultra-marathon and the 48th Comrades Up Run, starting at 5h30 at the Durban City Hall and finishing 12 hours later at the Scottsville Racecourse in Pietermaritzburg.
