THE RUN
Here lies a challenging and scenic route run through the leafy suburb of Brooklyn. This moderate to easy race is mainly fast and flat except for a section through the historic Pretoria Boys' High School grounds where there are a couple of testing hills. The new route is faster than the old and current records are expected to fall.

This race is traditionally run in memory of Marcel van't Slot who was killed at the age of 30 on a run on 4 December 1994. Marcel's wife Salome, had given birth to their child Duan just 10 days before the tragic accident.
