​​​​The marathon and half marathon are strictly pre-entry. Entries are limited to 5,000 for the marathon, 4,000 for the half marathon. Late entries and race pack collection for the 10 & 5 kilometre races takes place at the venue from 12h00-19h00 two days before the race and at the start from 04h15.
Online entries extended to 21 April at midnight or when capped has been reached.

The marathon is two laps of the half marathon route. It is a fast and furious race that is arguably the easiest route you can hope for in any marathon.

The Wally Hayward Marathon has been consistently ranked in a number of our surveys as a well organised and well presented event. It is a tribute to a great runner and a great man, Wally Hayward. With the combined size of the field, which exceeded 11,000, early arrival at the venue is essential. A family dog walk in aid of the SPCA will start at 17h00.
